Welcome to my Website.
I have been inspired by the Natural world since childhood and following an Environmental studies degree (University of Wales) became even more interested in the ecology of the world's wild places. I have a special interest in the global National Parks system and how people protect the environment for future generations. As a qualified Teacher I am particularly aware of the role that Environmental Education plays, in helping people of all ages to understand the importance of conservation.
Over the years, photography has been a wonderful way of documenting my interests. I am represented by the Nature Picture Library in the UK and through Minden pictures in North America. My pictures have appeared in National newspapers such as The Guardian, Daily Telegraph and The Times and have featured in a variety of magazines, notably National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, New Scientist and Biological sciences review. My landscape and wildlife images have appeared in a wide range of books including 'Animal' (Dorling Kindersley ) which is the World's best-selling wildlife encyclopedia.
I have given a variety of talks to conservation groups such as The RSPB and Wetlands and Wildfowl Trust. I am also available for small group or one to one tuition in the field, if you are keen to develop your photographic skills whilst learning more about the natural environment. This will take place in the South-East of England at Nature reserves or within the South Downs National Park. For tuition or audio-visual presentations please use the contact page to get in touch with me. I will respect your email privacy. I am a 'self- taught' photographer and have been using Pentax cameras and lenses for more than thirty years.
Thank you so much for visiting this site!
